Family Practice is a primary care specialty that provides comprehensive health care for the individual and family. The family practice physicians at the Boulder Medical Center have been trained at accredited residency programs to provide medical care for any patient, regardless of sex, age or type of problem. Family physicians can definitively manage 90-95 % of conditions presented to them and are able to follow their patients through referral and/or hospitalizations. The majority of our family physicians have also been trained to provide complete obstetric care. Because of their interactions with entire families, the Boulder Medical Center family doctors obtain added knowledge and insight which is beneficial to each individual’s health care.

The scope of family practice is wide and includes the following:
