Daniel Austin. MD - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Austin, who is originally from Hartford, Connecticut has lived and worked in Mexico, Spain, and India and has traveled extensively in other parts of the world. He speaks Spanish fluently. Dr. Austin joined the Boulder Medical Center in September, 1988. His hobbies include cross country skiing, biking, mountaineering and jogging.

MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY

Dr. Austin lived in Boulder while earning his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Colorado in 1979. He then went on to medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Later he served his Internship and Residency at Brigham, Women’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. During that time he was also a Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard Medical School and was appointed Chief Resident there. Dr. Austin is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Within this specialty his interests are high-risk pregnancy, infertility, gynecological surgery and menopause.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Austin is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the Medical Societies of Boulder County, Colorado and Massachusetts.
