Coco Dughi, M.D. -
Dr. Dughi grew up in Hawaii. Prior to moving to Colorado she spent eight years in Rochester, Minnesota where she completed her medical training and met her husband Jim. Dr. Dughi began her practice at the Boulder Medical Center in March 2003. She, her husband and their two young sons, David and John enjoy the great outdoor life style that Colorado offers. Coco and Jim are both endurance athletes, as well as outdoor sports enthusiasts and Dr. Dughi is an avid surfer. She plays the guitar and believes in Aloha Fridays!
MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY
Dr. Dughi received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Hawaii. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine where she graduated with honors. Dr. Dughi completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Fellowship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. She is the Medical Director of the Senior Medicine Clinic.
Dr. Dughi’s practice encompasses the broad spectrum of Internal Medicine. She has a particular focus on medical management of heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, perimenopause/menopause and preventative medicine. Her practice includes routine gynecological care, basic dermatology procedures and ingrown toenail removal.
Dr. Dughi is board certified in Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Colorado Medical Society, the Boulder County Medical Society, the Surfers Medical Association and Alpha Omega Honor society.
