Steven Hong, M.D. - DERMATOLOGY

Dr. Hong was born in Sacramento, California and grew up there and in the Midwest. He began his practice at the Boulder Medical Center in August 1990. He has two children, and enjoys bicycling, rock climbing, hiking, skiing, and tennis.

MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY

Dr. Hong attended and earned his Medical Degree at the University of Colorado Medical School from 1978 to 1982. He completed an Internal Medicine internship from 1982 to 1983 and residency in Internal Medicine from 1983 to 1985, both at the University of Utah. He served a Dermatology Fellowship at the University of Utah from 1985 to 1986. Dr. Hong completed his Dermatology residency at Stanford University from 1986 to 1989. In 1989 he was given the Upjohn award for the most outstanding dermatology resident.

Dr. Hong's practice centers on all aspects of skin disorders for children and adults. He has a particular interest in skin cancer surgery.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Dr. Hong is board certified in Dermatology and Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Hong is a member of the American Society of Dermatology Surgery, and the Boulder County Medical Society. He is a former member of the University of Colorado School of Medicine Alumni Board of Directors.
