Virginia Hrywnak, D.O. - Family Practice

Dear Patients,

I am writing to let you know that February 7, 2008 will be my last day at the Boulder Medical Center. As you may know, I am joyfully anticipating the birth of my second child. After much consideration, I have decided to take an extended maternity leave. I have greatly enjoyed being your family physician over the last 16 months. I have many wonderful memories I will treasure both professionaly and personally. I am grateful for the opportunity to have assisted you and your family members in finding health.

As always, you will find many caring and skilled providers at the clinic to continue serving your family's medical needs. Please call the clinic with any concerns or questions you may have.

Virginia Hrywnak, D.O.

Dr. Hrywnak was born and raised in the Denver Metro area. She practiced medicine for three years in rural Central Washington in a community health center as a National Health Services Corp scholar. She greatly enjoyed seeing multiple generations in her patient’s families and she learned Spanish. Along with her husband and young daughter she is eager to return home to Colorado. Dr. Hrywnak enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, reading and spending time with friends and family.

MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY

Dr. Hrywnak received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She received her osteopathic medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Hrywnak served as chief intern at Riverside Osteopathic Hospital/Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Her family medicine residency was completed at the University of Wyoming in Cheyenne. Dr. Hrywnak enjoys practicing full spectrum family medicine including obstetrics, office gynecology and preventative care. She also enjoys doing basic dermatology procedures and performing osteopathic manipulations.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Hrywnak is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Dr. Hrywnak is also a member of the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder County Medical Society.

OFFICE HOURS

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Hrywnak please call 303-440-3102. The family practice department office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and 8:30 AM until noon on Saturday. However, specific hours for each physician may vary.
