Janet M. Legare, MD -
Pediatrics
Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Legare moved to Colorado in 1997 and to the Boulder area in 2001. She met her husband Vivek here in Colorado and they married in 1999. They have two children. Dr. Legare enjoys bicycling, hiking, traveling and playing the piano.
MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY
Dr. Legare attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She completed her Internship and Residency at the University of Colorado in 2001. She currently teaches pediatric advanced life support through the American Heart Association. Dr. Legare cares for children from birth to adolescence, with a special interest in infancy, adolescent gynecology, and children with special needs. Her practice includes the full spectrum of pediatric care from practice in the office to hospital care. Dr. Legare enjoys watching each child grow and develop his or her own personality. Her philosophy stresses the importance of the family as a whole, emphasizing family understanding of the “whys” behind diagnosis and treatment.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Dr. Legare is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder County Medical Society. She is an instructor of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association and on the clinical faculty of the University of Colorado Department of Pediatrics.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Legare, please call 303-938-4750. The Boulder Medical Center‘s office hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday and 8:30 am until noon on Saturday. However, specific hours for each physician may vary.
