Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology
Dr. Levine, a native of New Jersey, began his practice at the Boulder Medical Center in July, 1992. He and his wife Rita moved to Boulder from Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Dr. Levine’s interests include hiking, skiing and reading. He collects pinball machines and arcade games. The natural beauty of Colorado, ready access to outdoor activities and the friendly people attracted the Levines to Boulder.
MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY
Dr. Levine completed a six year medical program at Boston University and received his Medical Degree there in 1987. He served his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Morristown Memorial Hospital Columbia School of Medicine, in Morristown, New Jersey. From 1990 to mid 1992 he practiced medicine at the Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut where he was the recipient of a fellowship given by the Yale-Affiliated Gastroenterology Program. He became Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1991 and in Gastroenterology in 1993.
Dr. Levine’s specialty is Internal Medicine, the general care and treatment of adolescents and adults. His sub-specialty is gastroenterology, the study of disorders of the digestive system. He has a special interest in diseases of the liver and pancreas. In 1991 he received First Place in the Oral Presentations Competition of the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Physicians. PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
