Donald L. McCormack, M.D. -
Ophthalmology
Dr. McCormack, originally from Ames, Iowa, started practicing at the Boulder Medical Center in august, 1993. Before coming to Boulder he was in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. McCormack and his wife Alison have three children; twins Ellen and Paul and a daughter Kristen. Dr. McCormack is interested in music and he plays the oboe. He also enjoys sailing, hiking and skiing.
MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY
Dr. McCormack graduated with honors from Pomona College in Claremont, California. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa in 1985. His internship was spent at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri and his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Iowa. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
In addition to adult and pediatric eye exams for glasses and contact lenses, Dr. McCormack performs refractive surgeries (LASIK and PRK), overnight contact lenses to correct near-sightedness. adjustable strabismus repair (misaligned eyes), laser surgery for glaucoma and retinal disease, lid surgery, and the latest techniques of cataract removal.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Dr. McCormack is board certified in Ophthalmology. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Colorado Medical Society, and the Boulder County Medical Society. He has served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Health Services Center.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. McCormack please call 303-440- 3049 and press 1. Boulder Medical Center’s office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. However, specific hours for each physician may vary.
