Daina Mead, MD - Family Practice

A Boston, Massachusetts native, Dr. Mead now calls Colorado home, living and working in the Louisville/Lafayette community. She began practicing at Boulder Medical Center in August 1989. She enjoys skiing and mountain biking in her spare time.

MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY

After completing her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Dr. Mead earned her Medical Degree with honors from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Her internship and residency through the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Fort Collins Family Practice Program included Family Medicine, Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Emergency Room in Denver hospitals. Dr. Mead was appointed Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Mead specializes in Family Practice, the specialty devoted to caring for the entire family. Dr. Mead can treat 85 to 90% of all medical problems, regardless of the patient’s age or sex. Her training affords her the ability to diagnose and refer patients to other specialists when needed. Dr. Mead is particularly interested in the preventative health care of all adults and the comprehensive care of women and children. She believes family physicians are in a “unique and important position to coordinate the health care needs of families and individuals”.

Dr. Mead is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is a member of The American Academy of Family Physicians.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Mead at Boulder Medical Center Avista in Louisville call 303-666-2710. The office is open Monday through Saturday at 8:30 am with evening appointments available for your convenience. On Saturday the office is open until noon. However, specific hours for each physician may vary.
