Dr. Michael Repine - Orthopedics Department

Dr. Repine was originally born in Minnesota. However, he has lived in Colorado for the past twenty-five years and considers himself a native. He is active in many outdoor activities including mountain biking, windsurfing and snowboarding.

He is the oldest of five brothers and one sister. He has an identical twin brother, named Tom. He is married to Dr. Sarah Ellis, an obstetrician and Boulder native. Together they have two sons named Grant and Andrew.

Dr. Repine has special interests in travel and foreign languages. He hopes to someday be fluent in Spanish, French and German. He is also teaching himself the guitar. He considers a good sense of humor to be an essential part of his character.

MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY

Dr. Repine has completed all of his higher education within Colorado. He received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado – Boulder. He received his Degree of Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Subsequent to this, he completed his orthopedic residency and internship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Repine also has experience with worker’s compensation as he spent an entire year between his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency working in an occupational health clinic in Aurora.

Dr. Repine views Orthopedics as an exceptional opportunity to help people. While he enjoys treating a broad range of orthopedic problems, he has particular interests in the treatment of arthritis, sports-related injuries and trauma. Dr. Repine is trained for both the Birmingham hip resurfacing and Cormet hip resurfacing procedures.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Repine is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopeadic Surgeons and he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He also belongs to the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder County Medical Society.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Repine please call 303-440-3036. Boulder Medical Center’s office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. However, specific hours for each physician may vary.
