Dr. Watts moved to Boulder in the late 1970’s from the Southeastern United States after completing his Emergency Medicine Residency. He enjoys outdoor activities including bicycling, cross-country skiing and fishing.
MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY
Dr. Watts received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Watts completed his Residency in Emergency Medicine and his Internship in Internal Medicine at Charlotte Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Watts worked at Boulder Community Hospital Emergency Department for over 25 years before joining the Boulder Medical Center Urgent Care Department.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Dr. Watts is board certified in Urgent Care Medicine. He is a former Diplomate of the American College of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Watts is a member of the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder County Medical Society. He was a Physician Advisor to several Volunteer Fire Departments, Fire Protection Districts, and other organizations.
OFFICE HOURS AND PHONE
As a Boulder Medical Center Urgent Care physician, Dr. Watts is on rotation with his colleagues. The BMC Urgent Care office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You may reach the Urgent Care Department by calling 303-440-3200.
All Urgent Care encounters will be billed as office visits.
