Eric Zacharias, M.D. -
Dr. Zacharias began his practice at the Boulder Medical Center in 1999 after several years of private practice in Denver. He and his wife, both native Southerners, moved to Colorado for the great offerings of outdoor activities. They enjoy running, cycling, telemark skiing, and hiking together and with their children.
MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY
Dr. Zacharias is board certified in Internal Medicine, the comprehensive medical care of adult patients. He attended Vanderbilt University for medical school and the University Of Colorado for specialty training. He maintains an academic appointment at the University of Colorado as a clinical professor. His practice emphasizes preventative health care, health maintenance, and early disease detection, but Dr. Zacharias also treats the spectrum of acute and chronic adult medical problems from those requiring simple office visits to those requiring intensive care hospitalization. He sees patients ranging in age from 16 to 100 years old.

Dr. Zacharias is the author of The Mediterranean Diet: A Clinician's Guide, Springer 2012. He is a nationally recognized expert on the topic around the country to both professional and general audiences.
Dr. Zacharias is a certified Yellow Fever vaccination provider and he offers travel medicine consults for patients venturing anywhere in the world.
