Aaron Stern, PA-C

A Colorado native, Aaron was born and raised in Thornton, Colo. He knew he wanted to become a Physician Assistant (PA) several years ago while working as a medical assistant with the Boulder Medical Center (BMC) orthopedics team. “I found my passion for helping patients recover from injuries and marveled at the improvement they experienced under the care of our providers and the difference it made in their lives.”

After leaving Boulder Medical Center to complete his physician assistant education, Aaron has returned to the BMC Physiatry Department, where he and Elise Itano, MD, specialize in non-operative spine and musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

His care philosophy combines a patient-focused approach with genuine care for their well-being and the use of up-to-date information and current practices. “I am inspired when educating patients on their condition and working with them on an effective treatment plan,” he says. This and a patient’s perseverance can create excellent outcomes.”

In his spare time, Aaron enjoys playing football, softball, hiking, “spending time with my beautiful fiancée,” time with family and friends, watching football and movies, and attending church.
