About Ashley Fanning
Ashley Fanning, NP-C grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Growing up she was fascinated by science and medicine. Becoming a nurse was a natural fit for her, as it combined her interest in medicine with her desire to care for others.
As a Nurse Practitioner, Ashley “loves the process of problem solving and creating a patient-specific treatment plan to help change a person’s life for the better,” she says. “While I enjoy the science of it all I truly look forward to the connection I create with each patient.”
Working in Urgent Care, Ashley is inspired by helping patients of all ages feel better and empowering them in their healthcare decisions. She also enjoys performing procedures and seeing a variety of patients. Ashley considers her best skills to be “…staying calm in emergent situations, listening to my patients’ concerns and sharing my knowledge of evidence-based medicine.” Her philosophy of care is to take the time to educate patients with a collaborative, specific approach in order to promote healing and wellness.
Ashley provides over seven years of Emergency Department and Urgent Care experience as a nurse with a focus on trauma and pediatrics.
In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two rescue dogs. Together they snowboard, cross-country ski, hike, mountain bike, paddle board and camp.
