Beth Olson, PA-C

About Beth Olson

Beth Olson, certified physician assistant (PA-C), grew up in Elm Grove, Wisc., a small suburb of Milwaukee. She lived there until finishing her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies at Marquette University then relocated to Seattle and Minneapolis before making her home in Boulder, Colo. While growing up, Beth always knew that she wanted to be involved in medicine and helping others. When she discovered the physician assistant profession, Beth knew that she had found the perfect fit.

As a physician assistant specializing in orthopedics, Beth enjoys helping patients define their goals for healing and working with them to develop a plan to get there. “I am inspired by watching patients progress as they recover from an injury or surgical procedure,” she says. “One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing patients return to the activities they love.”

In her free time, Beth loves spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys traveling, trail running, road and mountain biking, skiing, and being outside in the beautiful Colorado mountains.

Specialty Areas

Beth has practiced as a physician assistant for 21 years, initially specializing in emergency medicine and then focusing on orthopedics. She sees patients with a wide spectrum of injuries and conditions, including trauma, overuse, fractures, tendonitis, arthritis, and general pain. She also administers injections for orthopedic patients when needed and assists Dr. Grauer in surgeries.

Her care philosophy is to “treat each patient with the utmost kindness and respect that they deserve.”

“Dear Dr. Grauer and Beth Olson (and the whole awesome team at Boulder Medical): I hope this letter find you well. It’s hard to believe but one year ago I was hobbling around at home recovering from the first of two knee surgeries. Today, I am pretty active and only have tolerable soreness on the left knee afterward and hardly any problems with the right. Having had issues with these old knees since the first dislocation in middle school, just having that stability and joint endurance has been amazing. My wife and I want to thank you for giving me the confidence to pursue all of the fun outdoor stuff that Colorado has to offer. I just wanted to take the time to say – many thanks for being such an awesome team.”
