About Stephen Fries
Dr. Stephen Fries moved to Boulder in 1980 to open his pediatrics practice at Boulder Medical Center. Since then, he has found Boulder to be a rewarding place to practice medicine because of the many parents who place a high value on quality care for their children.
"Many of the patients who grew up in my practice are now parents themselves," Dr. Fried says. "I am proud to serve them and all of my families. I really enjoy caring for special needs children and helping them navigate through the health care system. I have the best job in the world."
Dr. Fries is a clinical professor at the University of Colorado medical school and intermittently teaches medical students. He is also on the Board of Directors at Boulder Community Health and Boulder Medical Center.
His wife Holly, and their four children are an active family, enjoying the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.
Dr. Fries is trained in the general care and treatment of children, from birth through 18 years od. His services include:
• Well-baby care
• Well-child exams and physicals
• Diagnostic evaluations and screening for vision and hearing
• Evaluations for children with learning and behavioral disorders that interfere with school performance
"I really enjoy caring for disabled children and those with chronic health problems and am dedicated to helping their parents navigate the health care system," says Dr. Fries.
