Dear Boulder Medical Center Patient,
I wanted to reach out to you on behalf of Boulder Medical Center (BMC) to express our deepest appreciation for your patience and understanding with our organization during this unprecedented time. The COVID-19 Coronavirus has impacted our nation, our state, and our community in a profound way, with still more uncertainty to come.
We assure you that Boulder Medical Center will continue to provide patient care throughout the COVID pandemic via telemedicine and in-clinic visits as necessary for your unique circumstances.
Upon receiving guidance from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and under the clinical guidance of our Board of Directors, Medical Director and Physicians, Boulder Medical Center implemented rapid response solutions to optimize the safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff. We immediately implemented risk screening at each of our clinic entry points, made adjustments to hours of operations, and dedicated a segment of our Urgent Care exclusively to respiratory care. Additionally, within a few days we had our Primary Care Physicians active on Telehealth with our Specialists now operational as well.
Effective Monday, March 30, Boulder Medical Center continued to optimize the safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff by separating well and sick visits at each of our facilities by time of day at all sites and by establishing a respiratory infection isolation unit at our 2750 Broadway Boulder location. With this configuration at BMC-Broadway, respiratory patients will enter the isolation unit from the west entry (with driveway registration and clinical assessment) with no access to the remainder of the building. Well patients with normal appointments will enter the facility through the main entrance (east side) screening team for full access to the remainder of the facility. This will allow us to best isolate respiratory illnesses and COVID-19 in such a way as to minimize risk to others.
In addition to the facility changes to patient care, BMC providers are now fully operational with telemedicine visits. This capability provides a great option for patients to receive a wide range of healthcare services from their providers without traveling to a BMC clinic.
We have also implemented remote work for staff, with many of our team sent home to work to limit bi-directional exposure risk with only those remaining as required to provide essential services to our patients.
We want to assure you that we will continue to provide patient care throughout the COVID pandemic via telemedicine and in-clinic visits, as necessary for your unique circumstances. Boulder Medical Center is here to care for our patients. We want you to know that you continue to be our top priority; your safety and wellbeing is our focus. We look forward to continuing your care in the way that best suits your needs and comfort. Please reach out to your provider to schedule your appointment today.
Thank you for trusting Boulder Medical Center with your care.
