Boulder Medical Center is pleased to announce the opening of our new Longmont location on November 2, 2021. BMC providers will no longer see patients at the Longmont United Hospital medical offices after October 29.
- OB-GYN and Pediatrics — Opening at the new Longmont location on November 2. Patients will have the option of delivering at the UCHealth Birth Center at Longs Peak Hospital (Longmont) and the Family Birth Center at Boulder Community Hospital (Boulder).
- ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) — Dr. Paddack will open her clinic at our new location in early 2022. Until then, she will see all of her patients at BMC-Foothills. Please stay tuned for details.

When her grandmother was treated for breast cancer, Dr. DiMatteo became passionate about women’s health early in life. After focusing on women’s studies and human development in college, she enrolled in medical school. “My experience before medical school invested me in addressing women’s health issues,” she says. “I am passionate about helping women stay healthy and strong while supporting their efforts to keep their families healthy.”
Dr. Hoch chose to practice medicine because she considers herself a “people person.” She enjoys getting to know and developing long-term relationships with her patients. “OB-GYN allows me to care for women during their pregnancy, deliver their babies, and see them regularly through menopause.”
With her love of science and learning, medicine was always a natural career option for Dr. Shemshedini. “Medicine allows me to learn something new every day,” she says. She is inspired by “advocating for my patients daily, enriching the lives of pregnant persons, and helping patients become their best selves.” A board-certified OB-GYN physician specializing in annual exams, LGBTQIA2+ care, contraceptive counseling, long-acting contraception, prenatal care, and hysterectomy.
Erin provides a full scope of personalized midwife services, including annual gynecological & well-woman exams, childbirth education, support during delivery, family planning and birth control counseling, postpartum care.

Dr. Lauren Brave grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and lived on both coasts before settling in beautiful Boulder County. Her patients say that they value Dr. Brave as an empathetic and attentive doctor and appreciate her honesty and directness. She and her husband, Scott, are raising two wonderful children, a daughter born in 2009 and a son born in 2012.
Dr. Gottlieb enjoys getting to know each child and their family. “I love offering continuity of care and a medical home to my patients,” he says. His philosophy of care is simple: “The child, first and always. I enjoy partnering with families with one goal in mind – to help children stay healthy and to heal them when they are not.” Dr. Gottlieb enjoys hiking with his wife and children, spending time in nature, and watching college football in his free time.
Dr. Susan Larson has been in practice as a pediatrician for over 20 years. In addition to her experience as an office and emergency room pediatrician, she has advanced training and eight years of experience with patient safety and healthcare quality. She feels that providing family-centered care is the core of quality pediatric medicine.
Dr. Ruan knew that he wanted to be a pediatrician while attending Niwot High School in Longmont. “I love working with children, and medicine is an enormous and wonderful field of study,” he says. He seeks to establish a solid working relationship with his patients and their families. “If we want to progress the child’s physical or mental health, we all need to be on the same page. I respect the concerns and priorities of my patients’ families and expect that they know we are working toward the same goals.” Dr. Ruan offers the full range of pediatrics, including chronic conditions such as asthma, dermatologic conditions such as acne and warts, and mental health, including depression, anxiety, and ADHD

Dr. Paddack is relocating to our new Longmont office in early 2022. Until then, she will see all of her patients at BMC-Foothills after October 29, 2021.
Dr. Paddack is originally from Dallas, Texas. She provides the full range of ENT care for adults and children, particularly interested in the medical and surgical treatments of the nose and sinuses. She also enjoys treating head and neck disorders, including thyroid or parathyroid problems, head and neck masses, and cancers.
