About Karin Susskind

A Cincinnati native, Dr. Karin Susskind initially moved to Colorado earlier in her life to work as a ranch hand in Greeley. Although she left the state to pursue medical training, Dr. Susskind’s love for Colorado compelled her to return and complete her family medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver. Afterwards, she opened her practice at Boulder Medical Center in 2008.

Dr. Susskind’s medical philosophy is centered on partnering with her patients and working together toward optimal health. She combines a deep commitment to her patients with a passion for community and international health.

While in medical school, Dr. Susskind participated in medical missions to Kenya and Senegal and, as a member of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), worked in Appalachia advocating for rural health concerns. Her support of under-served populations has included caring for homeless communities and distributing emergency funds for the United Way. She has also mentored medical students.

Dr. Susskind serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians, where she represents Colorado’s family medicine physicians, patients, and communities through education and advocacy that champions healthier communities. She has also served as Boulder’s mohelet since 2012.

In her spare time, Dr. Susskind enjoys family time, birding, crafting, and dancing.
