About Ana Maria Ramirez Berlioz

Dr. Ana Ramirez Berlioz, MD, is an endocrinologist whose journey in medicine began in Comayagua, Honduras, where she was born. Raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, amidst a family of physicians, including her parents and grandfather, she developed a deep-seated interest in healthcare from an early age.

“Growing up around medicine, I was fascinated by the intricacies of the human body,” Dr. Ramirez Berlioz recalls. “I remember ‘playing’ in the microbiology lab after school and being captivated by what I could discover under the lens.”

Her family’s dedication to medicine inspired Dr. Ramirez Berlioz to pursue a healthcare career.

“In medicine, I found my calling early on,” she reflects. “I knew from childhood that I wanted to follow in my family’s footsteps and make a difference in people’s lives.”

In her practice, Dr. Ramirez Berlioz prioritizes patient-centered, evidence-based care. She believes in empowering her patients, particularly those managing chronic endocrine conditions, to focus on progress rather than perfection.

“It’s all about progress, not perfection,” Dr. Ramirez Berlioz emphasizes. “I try to make sure my patients know that a number does not define them and that managing chronic conditions is a journey.”

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ramirez Berlioz enjoys reading fiction, art, dabbling in painting, and attending as many live music events as possible. Her most recent and consistent obsession is her Peloton.
