About James Gottlieb

Dr. James Gottlieb grew up in Saint Joseph, Michigan, a beautiful town with lovely beaches on Lake Michigan. While growing up, Dr. Gottlieb admired his own pediatrician, as well as his best friend’s father who was also a skilled physician. When he was around eight years old, Dr. Gottlieb knew he wanted to be a pediatrician and never wavered from his dedication to this goal through his many years of education, training, and practice.

Dr. Gottlieb left Michigan to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. He returned to the Great Lakes State to enroll at the University of Michigan Medical School then completed his pediatrics residency at the University of Utah. Before joining Boulder Medical Center, Dr. Gottlieb was a primary care pediatrician in Utah since 2013.

As a board certified pediatrician, Dr. Gottlieb enjoys getting to know each child and their family. “I love offering continuity of care and a medical home to my patients,” he says. His philosophy of care is simple: “The child, first and always. I enjoy partnering with families with one goal in mind – to help children stay healthy and to heal them when they are not.”

In his free time Dr. Gottlieb enjoys hiking with his wife and children, spending time in nature, and watching college football.
