About Kristen Geiger
Dr. Kris Geiger grew up in Wisconsin, attending college and medical school at the University of Wisconsin. She moved to Colorado to seek out some new adventures in the mountains and her pediatrics residency at University of Colorado. As part of her pursuit of passion for the active and outdoor lifestyle, she then moved to Minneapolis to do a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. Upon completing that, she moved back to sunny Colorado to start practicing. She has had dual jobs in pediatric emergency medicine and pediatric orthopedics in private group in Denver for the past 18 years. As a long time Boulder resident, she is now going to combine both services in Boulder in the primary care setting, to encourage healthy growth and activity as part of well, sick and injury visits. She is very active with her husband and 2 young boys, trying to keep up with them cycling, hiking, climbing peaks, camping, cooking and traveling. She is fluent in Spanish, mammals, reptiles and dinosaurs.
She sees well and sick visits for general pediatrics, acute and overuse sports injuries, joint pain and injuries, simple fractures, concussion management, injury prevention, and sports physicals. She is super excited to be able to provide such broad continuity for my patients and their families and enjoy watching them grow up. She prides herself in good listening to the family and patients, making kids feel as comfortable as possible in some possibly difficult and scary situations. She always speaks to the patient, acknowledging their primary role in wellness.
She is certified and trained in ImPACT Neurocognitive Testing.
