Thuyminh Tran, PA-C

Thuyminh Tran, PA-C, is a physician assistant in the Family Medicine department at BMC’s Louisville clinic. She brings extensive experience in primary care and a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to caring for individuals across all ages and stages of life.

Thuyminh is especially drawn to family medicine for the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and support their health over time. She values continuity of care and believes that people are more than their diagnoses. Getting to know patients as individuals and understanding their goals, concerns, and lived experiences is central to her approach.

She strives to make each visit a positive and educational experience, recognizing that medical appointments can feel intimidating for some patients. Thuyminh emphasizes clear communication and shared decision-making, helping patients feel informed and confident about their health. “Knowledge is power,” she believes, and she is committed to empowering patients to take an active role in their care.

In the Louisville clinic, Thuyminh works closely alongside our experienced family medicine physicians to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.

Outside of work, Thuyminh enjoys traveling internationally, skiing, scuba diving, cooking, reading, and exploring new cuisines.
