About Alison Moore
Alison Merser Moore relocated to Colorado from the coast of Maine in January of 1993. At the University of Colorado, Boulder she completed her undergraduate studies with a B.A. in Sociology and Women's Studies. After graduation she found her first job in a women's health clinic. This experience, coupled with working as an EMT in a small ER at Keystone Resort, solidified her love of medicine. In 2002, Alison obtained her Master's of Physician Assistant studies from the University of Utah where she was the recipient of the Robert M. Alston Commitment to Excellence award. Outside of medicine, Alison is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys backpacking, cycling, hiking and telemark skiing with her husband and 2 children. She is also passionate about cooking and gardening.
Alison joined Boulder Medical Center in October 2002 and has worked in both Family Practice and Internal Medicine at our Broadway location. After taking some time off to be with her two young children, she has happily rejoined our team at the Avista site in the OBGYN department. Alison believes that it is fortuitous that she is back in women's health care, where she originally became interested in practicing medicine. Alison's special interests besides women's health include preventive medicine, managing interrelated chronic disease and travel medicine.
