Alison Moore, PA-C

Alison Merser Moore relocated to Colorado from the coast of Maine in 1993.

She attended University of Colorado-Boulder and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Women’s Studies. Her first job after graduating was in a women’s health clinic. This experience, coupled with another job as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in a small emergency room clinic at Keystone Resort, solidified her love for the field of medicine.

In 2002, Alison completed her Master’s of Physician Assistant degree from the University of Utah, where she received the Robert M. Alston Commitment to Excellence award.

Outside of medicine, Alison is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys backpacking, cycling, hiking, and telemark skiing with her husband and two children. She is also passionate about cooking and gardening.

Alison Moore, PA-C initially joined Boulder Medical Center in 2002 and worked in both the Family Practice and Internal Medicine departments at our Broadway location in Boulder. After taking time off to be with her two young children, Alison happily rejoined the obstetrics and gynecology team at Boulder Medical Center – Avista in Louisville.

“Working in women’s health is fortuitous, as this is the field that initially inspired my love for medicine,” she says. “I have worked in primary and women’s health care for 10-plus years and enjoy building a relationship with my patients. I am a proponent of preventive medicine and believe that everyone should have a voice in their medical care. I encourage my patients to be proactive and build a team of medical providers that help them achieve optimal health.”

As a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), Alison is a state-licensed and nationally certified healthcare professional that works with a supervising physician in medical and surgical specialties. A PA’s education typically parallels that of traditional medical school, but is a shorter program and does not require formal internship or residency. Alison is trained to provide a full spectrum of OB-GYN care.

In addition to women’s health, Alison is interested in preventive medicine, managing interrelated chronic disease, and travel medicine.
