About Jennifer Grodberg
Dr. Grodberg moved to Boulder two years ago from the New York City area, where she practiced medicine for over 20 years. Her last position before coming to Boulder was in a private practice in Brooklyn and before that she worked as a physician with underserved communities at family health centers in Brooklyn and the Bronx. While in the Bronx, Dr. Grodberg was also an assistant professor at the Montefiore Medical Center, where she was an HIV specialist and taught medical students and residents.
Through her extensive experience serving diverse communities, Dr. Grodberg brings an understanding of, and appreciation for, a wide range of medical situations. “Because I’ve taken care of a lot of people from various backgrounds, I am comfortable with everything,” she says. “It’s important to me that my practice is accepting and inclusive.”
As an Internal Medicine doctor at Boulder Medical Center, Dr. Grodberg will address a range of medical needs including: general physical exams, heart disease screening, management of chronic diseases, STD checks and treatment, cholesterol screening and treatment, well woman exams, and more. She is also available as a primary care physician.
Personally, Dr. Grodberg is enjoying a more relaxed pace than she was living in New York City. “Although I will always love New York, I’m enjoying the Colorado lifestyle, where health and balance are prioritized,” she says. “Our family was losing that in New York.”
She is also excited to bring her breadth of knowledge and experience to Boulder Medical Center.
“Boulder Medical Center is unique in that it’s owned by a community of physicians who live here in Boulder County,” she explains. “Because decisions are made at the local level, the physicians can focus on people first. It’s a unique and special situation that you don’t see a lot.”
