Long Huynh, MD, FACOG

Dr. Long P. Huynh (pronounced: “WIN”) has known she wanted to practice medicine since childhood. Her affinity for taking care of others began as a kid looking after her little brothers and cousins.

In medical school she realized her interest in OB-GYN during a unit in women’s health. “The subject matter was not only easy for me,” she says, “but it was extremely interesting. I knew within the first week of my OB-GYN rotation that this was the specialty for me.”

For Dr. Huynh, providing continuity of care is one of the most enjoyable aspects of being an OB-GYN provider. “I really like seeing a patient and helping her through all aspects of her life – from the teenage years to her 60s and beyond. It’s fantastic meeting a patient as early as high school and having the opportunity to follow her through just about everything! And of course, being part of a woman’s journey to being a mother. It never gets old.”

She believes in working with a patient to develop a plan of care together. Combined with strong listening and communication skills, this is the method she knows will provide optimal treatment and care.

In addition to her medical practice at Boulder Medical Center, Dr. Huynh enjoys traveling to underserved areas abroad to provide pro bono surgical care to women. She has had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam, Peru, and Nepal to care to women in need of hysterectomies, ovarian removals, and cyst removals.  She hopes to provide more care to women in underserved communities in the future.

In her free time, Dr. Huynh enjoys spending time with her family, running, climbing, skiing, reading, and traveling. She has lived in Boulder County for over ten years with her husband, son, and dog and considers it her home.

Dr. Huynh is certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
