About Michael Repine
Dr. Repine was originally born in Minnesota but, because he has lived in Colorado for the past 25 years, he considers himself a native. He is active in many outdoor activities including mountain biking, windsurfing and snowboarding.
In addition to his athletic pursuits, Dr. Repine is also interested in travel and foreign languages. He hopes to someday be fluent in Spanish, French and German and is teaching himself how to play the guitar. He considers a good sense of humor to be an essential part of his character.
The oldest of five brothers and one sister, Dr. Repine has an identical twin brother named Tom. He enjoys spending time with his two sons, Grant and Andrew.
Specialties and Educational Information
Dr. Repine completed all of his higher education in Colorado. He received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado – Boulder and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the CU School of Medicine. Subsequent to this, he completed his orthopedic residency and internship at the CU Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Repine is certified to perform the innovative MAKOplasty® procedure for partial knee surfacing and total hip replacements. He is also experienced with worker’s compensation as he spent an entire year between his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency working in an occupational health clinic in Aurora, Colo.
Dr. Repine is is board certified in Orthopedics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopeadic Surgeons and he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He also belongs to the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder County Medical Society.
