Boulder Medical Center Expands Rheumatology Services with New Louisville Clinic

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) has expanded its longstanding rheumatology program with the opening of a new clinic in Louisville, Colo., led by board-certified rheumatologist Daniel Erhardt, MD.

For decades, patients throughout Boulder County have trusted BMC rheumatologists Stuart Weisman, MD, and Lori Maran, MD, for the diagnosis and long-term management of autoimmune diseases and complex rheumatic conditions. Dr. Erhardt joins this highly regarded team, bringing seven years of private rheumatology practice experience in Colorado.

Dr. Erhardt diagnoses and treats a wide range of autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus, gout, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, connective tissue disorders, vasculitis, Raynaud’s disease, and chronic joint pain.

He was drawn to rheumatology because it combines complex medical problem-solving with the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients.

“Rheumatology is incredibly rewarding because my patients are often navigating chronic, often lifelong diseases,” Dr. Ehrhards says. “But treatment has advanced tremendously, and we have targeted therapies that can truly change people’s lives.”

Patients often describe Dr. Erhardt as approachable, empathetic, and easy to talk to.

“I want patients to know they are in the driver’s seat,” he says. “My role is to educate, guide, and support patients so they can make informed decisions that feel right for them.”

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Erhardt is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patients.
