Jose Delgado Jr., M.D., FACP- Internal Medicine Department

Dr. Delgado joined the Boulder Medical Center August 1st 2007. He and his family moved from Miami, Florida in June 2007 because of a love and appreciation for the outdoor life particularly in the Rockies. Dr. Delgado looks forward to spending time with his wife and kids on the slopes skiing and hiking in the summers. Jose’s hobbies include mountain biking, running and yoga and he is fluent in Spanish.

MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY

Dr. Delgado received his undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Miami. There he was awarded a membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Medical Center. There he received the Intern of the Year award and after completing his residency was selected to serve an additional year as Chief Medical Resident.

Dr. Delgado ran a large, successful private group practice in Miami, Florida for ten years. During that time he was also involved in an Executive Health and Wellness Program sponsored by the local hospital providing preventive care services to executives across South Florida as well as the Americas.

Dr. Delgado’s practice encompasses the scope of General Internal Medicine with a focus on the management of Hypertension, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Lipid Management, and Preventive Medicine. He also has an interest in Nutrition and Weight Loss.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Delgado is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also a member of the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder County Medical Society.
