Kathryn Makowski, PA-C
Kathryn Makowski provides compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with general orthopedic and sports-related conditions. Originally from Hartland, Wisconsin, she has called Colorado home since 2016 and feels deeply connected to the community and active lifestyle.
Kathryn has long been drawn to medicine through her love of science, problem-solving, and helping others. She finds the most meaning in working with active patients who are invested in their recovery, guiding them from the initial injury through rehabilitation and back to the activities they love. “It is a privilege to be part of that full journey,” she says.
Her approach to care is rooted in attentive listening, strong attention to detail, and individualized treatment. Kathryn believes that informed patients are empowered patients and emphasizes education as the foundation of effective, collaborative care.
Kathryn brings a strong background in sports medicine and orthopedic training to her role. She has held a Wilderness First Responder certification for more than 10 years, completed three orthopedic clinical rotations during PA school, and previously served as a sports medicine student intern with the University of Colorado women’s basketball team.
Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, especially in the mountains with her golden retriever, Stanley.
