About Dr. Ruggiano

Dr. Olivia Ruggiano grew up in Bakersfield, Vermont, and discovered a passion for audiology during college while minoring in American Sign Language. Gaining perspective from the Deaf community highlighted the gap between the hearing world and those with hearing differences—an insight that inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to bridging that divide.

Today, Dr. Ruggiano finds the most inspiring part of her work in helping patients improve communication access. Whether through spoken language, sign language, visual aids, or a combination of methods, she is committed to enhancing quality of life by supporting each person’s unique communication needs.

With a philosophy of care rooted in personalization, Dr. Ruggiano believes every patient has a unique story and set of goals. She focuses on creating individualized diagnostic and treatment plans while ensuring families feel informed, supported, and confident in their decisions.

During graduate school, Dr. Ruggiano completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program, where she gained specialized training in serving children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities and complex medical conditions that may affect hearing, balance, and communication.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ruggiano is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys skiing, backpacking, cycling, trail running, and rock climbing. She also loves traveling to destinations that encourage active living and adventure.
