Making Appointments & Communicating on Behalf of Your Child/Family
To make an appointment or communicate on behalf of your child or family member, or to view their medical records, you must have proxy access to their online account, and must select your child/family member’s account.
How do I see my child/family member’s online records?
- Log in to your MyChart account.
- Click on the drop-down menu in the top right corner where your first name shows.
- Select your child’s/family member’s name from the list. If you don’t see their name in the list, complete the form for proxy access (see below).
How do I make an online appointment for my child/family member?
- Make sure you are logged in to your child/family member’s (not yours, not their sibling’s) account. (Check the name listed in the top right corner.)
- Select the “Schedule an Appointment” button.
How do I send a MyChart message to my child/family member’s provider?
- Make sure you are logged into your child/family member’s (not yours, not their sibling’s) account. (Check the name listed in the top right corner.) These messages become part of the patient’s official medical record and serve as a reference for our providers.
- Select the “Send a Message” button.
- Draft a message to your child/family member’s provider, making sure to keep it focused on your child/family member’s care (not yours or your sibling’s).
