The Boulder Medical Center (BMC) Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the “Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers” among just 790 centers nationwide. Ambulatory surgical centers are freestanding outpatient health care facilities that specialize in providing same-day surgical and diagnostic procedures. The BMC Center, which specializes in colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures, was the only center in Boulder County to earn this distinction.
“We are honored to be recognized for the quality care we provide to every patient who spends time with us in our colonoscopy and endoscopy surgery center,” said Dr. Robert Levine, BMC gastroenterologist. “Our advanced technology and compassionate team allow us to focus on comfort and safety.”
Of the 4,357 centers evaluated nationwide, only about 17 percent earned the Best Ambulatory Surgery Center rating. Within the Denver Metro area, BMC’s center was among just 12 that achieved this honor.
